Warwickshire, going southbound on the M6 you are nearly at the end of the M6, nearly but not quite, despite containing junction 1 there is still another county. The M6 enters Warwickshire just to the east of Birmingham and continues eastward just north of the West Midlands border to bypass Coventry and Rugby before crossing the Leicestershire border about 2 miles east of the M1!

Junction 4 Coleshill, M42/A446 an odd junction, formerly the junction southbound for Coleshill and Solihull on the A446, the NEC has since been added along with Coventry West and South. Northbound the A446 is the junction for Lichfield however the M42 has been added to become the junction for south Birmingham and Solihull along with Birmingham Airport and the NEC.

Junctions 4-3a Coleshill Bypass, this short urban section started the eastward section from Birmingham to the M1, the M6 Toll is soon in view to the north.

Junction 3a Coleshill South, M6 Toll a northbound only junction where the M6 Toll rejoins the M6 after its journey through Birmingham, the junction is aligned to favour the M6 Toll which is signed to The North West as well as Lichfield and Tamworth.

Signs at Junction 3 M6Junctions 3a-3 Birmingham - Coventry link, leaving Birmingham behind in the rear view mirror the M6 enters the countryside of Warwickshire heading eastward up a long incline supplemented by an extra lane. Shortly after this comes Corley Services followed by views of north Coventry as the M6 approaches junction 3

Junction 3 Coventry North, A444 the junction for Coventry north along with Nuneaton and Bedworth

Junctions 3 -2 Coventry eastern bypass, the M6 again turns more southerly with views over Coventry to the south.

Junction 2 Coventry East, M69/A46 the main junction Coventry as well as the Southbound junction for Leicester and the M1 north.


Signs at junction 1 of the M6Junctions 2-1 Coventry- Rugby Link the M6 heads eastward through rolling countryside, this part of the midlands is flat rolling agricultural plains .

Junction 1 Rugby North, A446 the final junction on the southbound carriageway is signed to Rugby and Lutterworth and the M1 north southbound, whilst northbound it is just the junction for Rugby which can just be seen in the distance.

Junction 1 -M1 Rugby Eastern Bypass, the final section of the M6 is again rolling grassland the M6 crosses the border into Leicestershire where it crosses the A5 however unusually for such a major road no junction is provided.
