M6 Junction 11
Opened in 1966 junction 11 was for a short while the southern end of the M6 before completion of the M6 further south in 1968.
Junction 11 is the first junction south of the split between the M6 and M6 Toll. In those far gone days when the M6 Toll was inconceivable and the M6 was newly opened was the main junction for Wolverhampton from the North and Cannock from the south. It still retains this today however both places have several other junctions serving them.
The junction is the most common type of junction on the M6 the roundabout over the motorway and is now as shown below.
