M6 Junction 22
Junction 22 is on the first junction in Cheshire going southbound just north of the M62 junction, it is on the section of the M6 opened in 1963, it is a classic roundabout over the motorway junction, the most common type of Junction on the M6.
At first it was intended as the main junction for Warrington going southbound, the northbound junction was for Newton le Willows and Leigh, in recent times the junction southbound has been relegated to the junction for Warrington North.
